RMYS Basketball Skills Training & SPARQ Training- Player Development
Rocky Mountain Youth Sports (RMYS) provides opportunities for individual player development training as well as our various basketball teams and clinics.Solid basketball fundamentals are vital to be successful at any level in basketball and our trainers assist players in developing and enhancing fundamentals through championship caliber individual instruction. Our goal is to grow each aspiring boy or girl basketball players skill level, fitness level, knowledge, and enthusiasm for the game of basketball.

Working with a trainer in a professional, organized program can help you further develop your basketball skills, reach your goals while developing character and learning life lessons at the same time.
Packages may include the Nike SPARQ Training © for equipment, drills, programs, insights and information so players work smarter, train harder and get better faster.
SPARQ is a specialized training technique for Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction & Quickness (thus SPARQ).

- SPARQ sessions go until the program is complete for the day, not to exceed 90-minutes in length.

- Learn about Brain Training opportunities through React Fast Company. React Fast uses Interactive Metronome technology to design and implement a challenging, research based program for athletes of ALL ages to train their brain to gain over the competition.
- Training sessions are held at locations in Northern Colorado agreed upon between trainer and player, often a local fitness club.
Private Training Sessions
We offer one hour private training sessions to players that want additional individualized training in basketball fundamental skill areas that include shooting, ball-handling, passing, rebounding, offensive development, defensive development and basketball specific fitness training.
We offer five or ten session training packages with our experienced coaching staff. Our Player Development Coordinator will work with the player to determine realistic, attainable goals and then create a training program to assist the player in reaching those goals.
The trainer’s implementation of the program will advance the players skill level and assist them in developing their game.
10-Session Training Package: $400
Semi-Private Training (2 players)
Benefit from individualized training while working with a partner. Focus is still placed on improving each individual players skills but you are able to benefit from training with a player of comparable ability to further enhance your skills.
5 Session Semi-Private Training Package: $380 (divided by players)
10 Session Semi-Private Training Package: $700 (divided by players)
Small Group Training (3-4 players)
Benefit from individualized training while working with a partner or two. Players in small group training have the opportunity to develop their skills
5 Session Small Group Training Package: $435 (divided by players)
10 Session Small Group Training Package: $800 (divided by players)
About Marty Bertolette
RMYS Player Development Coordinator
Marty has worked with current and former professional and collegiate basketball players that have benefitted from his training.
He enjoys working with players at all levels and helping them to reach their basketball goals, whether it’s making a middle school team, JV, Varsity, or one day playing in college.
Playing & Coaching Experience:
- 20+ years Basketball Coach & Personal Trainer
- Highly Awarded Collegiate Player at Montana State University. 1994 Graduate.
- Highly Awarded High School Player at Rocky Mountain High School, Fort Collins Colorado. 1989 Graduate.
